Margin Street Inn - Westerly, RI

Walking distance from downtown Westerly, but pulled back into its own peaceful nook, The Margin Street Inn is perfectly serene with stunning old trees, beautiful gardens, and gorgeous Victorian buildings. The owners have an eye for design and every detail inside and outside of the property is classic and elegant. The 10 room inn offers exclusive use of the whole property for weddings and hosts only a few a year, allowing each one to have the space to be thoughtfully designed and completely unique.

Norman Bird Sanctuary - Middletown, RI

The Norman Bird Sanctuary is not far from the bustle of Newport, but pulled back enough to provide a quiet, natural environment with ocean views, open fields, forest, marsh, and lots of bird sightings. It is a nonprofit wildlife sanctuary and environmental education center with 300 acres of preserved land. There are hiking trails throughout the property, and numerous spots for your special event -- whether in the forest, on the pond, in the garden with its sweeping ocean views, or in one of the various historic buildings.

Rental of the 18th century Paradise Farmhouse, that sleeps up to 16 people, is included when booking a wedding. The historic home has been tastefully updated with modern amenities and eco-friendliness in mind.

Okay Island - CT/RI Line

If you're looking for a funky place out in the wild, this is it. The folks at Okay Island are self-proclaimed "experts in nature, parties, and good vibes with a background in thoughtful design and creative direction." There is nothing cookie-cutter about this venue. It's a wild and and natural canvas for crafting a totally unique and customized event that goes past the norm.

There are few things I love more than a library, and while there are many great ones to get married in, the Providence Athenæum is a tiny gem with beautiful architecture, lots of hidden nooks, and comfy old wood and leather to set the scene.

The main and upper levels can be used creatively in several ways for your ceremony, while the downstairs is where dinner and dancing happen.

International Tennis Hall of Fame - Newport, RI

There's only one Tennis Hall of Fame! Amidst the traditional venues in Newport that consist of large estates and hotels, the International Tennis Hall of Fame stands out as a different, but equally beautiful backdrop.

If you're an active bunch, the venue is perfect for lawn gams and antique tennis on the central grass court. It's a creative way to entertain your guests and get them to mingle!
